Spotify image downloader
Paste a Spotify link — artist, album, song, playlist or podcast — and download the picture Spotify itself publishes: covers at 640×640, artist profile photos up to 640 tall.
The sizes that exist
| Size | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| 640×640 | Album, song, playlist and podcast covers, at full size. |
| Up to 640 tall | Artist photos. They're portrait-shaped, so the width varies — the tool measures and shows you the real file. |
| Smaller copies | Shrunk in your browser with proportions kept, for avatars and thumbnails. |
The full size Spotify publishes, plus smaller copies we shrink in your browser for when you need an avatar or a thumbnail. Nothing is enlarged and nothing gets a watermark stamped on it.
How to copy the link
- In the app: open the artist, album or playlist → Share → Copy link.
- On desktop: right-click the name or cover → Share → Copy link.
- Paste it above. The tool reads Spotify's own public embed data — the same data behind every Spotify player on the web.
Straight answers
- Why does it stop at 640?
- Because that's the size Spotify publishes. Their servers keep the master artwork, but the public picture — the one every app and embed uses — caps at 640 pixels: square covers at 640×640, artist photos up to 640 tall. A site selling you a “3000 px Spotify cover” is enlarging that file and charging you in blur.
- Artist, album, song, playlist — which work?
- All four. Artist links give the profile photo; albums and songs give the cover; playlists give the cover the owner chose. Podcasts work too, show and episode art included.
- My link starts with spotify: — is that OK?
- Yes. The app sometimes shares that format from a computer. Paste it as-is; the tool converts it.
- Can I print the cover big?
- 640×640 prints decently up to about 10 cm. For a poster, the same album on Apple Music often has artwork at 3000×3000 — try that page.
